Step by Step: How to access your funds with 3rd party apps

We know speed is of the essence for gig workers, and we're constantly working to ensure that we can provide you with quick and reliable products and services! We strongly encourage you to use your Virtual Card to access funds before receiving your physical card.

If you would like to use a 3rd party instead, please select your 3rd party payment app below to access instructions for using one of these apps with Moves. 

PayPal
  1. Click the top right gear icon to enter your ‘settings’
  2. Tap ‘Banks and Cards’
  3. Tap the ‘+’ icon
  4. Tap ‘Bank account’
  5. Search for ‘Moves’
    • It will show that PayPal cannot find Moves
    • Instead, tap ‘Enter Your Bank Details’
  6. Enter your Moves routing number and account number 
    • PayPal will then send 2 microdeposits (less than $1.00) to your Moves Spending Account and retrieve them both in one withdrawal
  7. PayPal will then conduct a ‘Quick Security Check’. Tap, ‘Next’ and they will send you an activation code via text message (SMS)
  8. Enter the code on the next screen and tap, ‘Continue’
  9. The microdeposit will take place within 1-3 business days
  10. You will need to confirm your bank by checking your Moves Spending Account in a few days for 2 small deposits, then come back to the app and input them into PayPal

Please note: If you are unable to access your Moves Spending Account transactions in the app to verify the microdeposits, please reach out to our Member Support team at hello@movesfinancial.com to verify your account so we can provide you with your transactional history. 

Venmo

Once you have logged into your Venmo account, please follow the steps below.

1. Tap the menu (3 horizontal lines) on the top right of the screen

4. Tap ‘Add a bank or card’

If using Bank Verification (Plaid)

1. Tap ‘Next’

3. Search, ‘Moves’ and tap ‘Moves Financial’

4. Verify your identity by providing your phone number

*You may need to attempt this verification a couple of times due to Plaid’s connection. Venmo_10.jpg

 

5. Enter the verification code sent to your phone and then tap, ‘Answer’

6. Select ‘Spending Account’ as your primary account and then, tap ‘Continue’Venmo_12.jpg

7. Your Moves Spending Account is now connected to Venmo! 

 

If using Manual Verification (Note: this process can take up to 3 business days. Venmo will deposit and withdraw two microdeposits into your Move Spending Account. You will need to enter  the amounts in Venmo to verify the bank account.)

1. Tap ‘Add Manually Instead’

2. Add your routing number

3. Add your account number

4. Confirm your account number

5. Tap ‘Save and Continue’ 

6. An unverified Blue Ridge Bank is added to your account. To verify your account, please select Blue Ridge Bank in your Payment Method

7. Tap ‘Verify’

8. Enter the 2 microdeposits that were deposited into your Moves Spending Account and then tap, ‘Verify’

CashApp

You will only be able to transfer funds to and from your respective accounts while waiting for your Moves Card. You will not be able to add funds to your CashApp account until you have your Moves Card number.

  1. Tap their first tab to the left called, ‘Banking’
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap, ‘Link Bank’

  • If you already have a bank previously linked, you will need to tap ‘Replace Bank’
  • If you did not previously have a card, tap ‘No Card?’

3. Tap ‘Continue’

4. Search, ‘Moves’ and tap ‘Moves Financial’

5. Enter your phone number and tap, ‘Answer’

  • You may receive an error message - if this happens, you may need to attempt verification again. Tap ‘Return’ and try again.

6. Enter the code sent to your phone and then tap, ‘Answer’

Zelle
At this time, Zelle is not compatible with the Moves Spending Account.
